How much does a photo booth cost in Quebec?

From $199 to $1,500: for the same event, quotes vary sevenfold. The gap almost never comes down to equipment quality — it comes down to the billing model. Here is what each price actually covers, and what you pay at Ouisnap.

How much does a photo booth cost in Quebec?

Short answer: $199 to $1,500 CAD, taxes extra, depending on the hours covered and what the package includes. That is an enormous spread for the same object, and it deserves an explanation rather than an average.

At Ouisnap the grid fits in three lines for private events: $450 CAD without printing and with pickup at our offices, $625 CAD without printing and with delivery, setup and pickup, and $625 CAD with printing and pickup. On the corporate side, the standard package also starts at $450 CAD and rises to $800 CAD for rental, printing and delivery combined. In every case the booth is rented for the whole weekend.

The Quebec market in 2026

Surveying the rate cards published by suppliers active in Montreal and Quebec City, four billing models emerge. They — not the hardware — account for most of the variation.

Billing modelObserved rangeHours covered
Entry-level digital package$199 – $3991 day, pickup at your expense
Hourly package with printing$400 – $7502 to 4 h
Full event service with operator$750 – $1,5003 to 5 h
Additional hour+$100 to +$200

Surveyed in August 2026 from the public rate cards of suppliers based in Montreal and Quebec City. Prices before taxes and subject to change.

One clarification worth making: these ranges cover every kind of event. Look at weddings alone and the floor rises sharply, with entry-level offers disappearing altogether — we cover that market separately in our article on wedding photo booth cost.

Why two quotes are not comparable

You ask three suppliers for the same date and receive three unrelated numbers. It is not that one is expensive and another cheap: it is that "photo booth" describes different services. Four items explain nearly all of it.

The billing model

This is the decisive point, and the most often overlooked. Most Quebec rate cards are hourly: a three or four-hour package, then $100 to $200 for each additional hour. An office party that runs long, a wedding stretching from cocktails to last call, a two-day trade show — the real invoice ends up bearing little resemblance to the advertised price.

Our grid rests on a different principle: the booth is rented for the whole weekend, with no hourly formula and no overtime charge, and it can even be moved between venues from Friday to Sunday. The trade-off is deliberate and worth stating plainly: several competitors bill for an operator present all evening, whereas the Ouisnap booth is built to run on its own. If you want someone greeting your guests at the booth, a host remains available as an option, priced in your quote.

Delivery

The second source of variation, and the most common. A very low starting price almost always assumes you collect the equipment yourself. That is a perfectly reasonable choice, provided it is stated. We say it up front: delivery is never included in our base price. Pickup at our Saint-Lambert or Quebec City offices is free; delivery with setup and pickup costs $175 CAD within roughly 25 km of either point; beyond that, travel fees apply by distance. Anywhere else in Canada, the booth ships by courier or mail, priced in your quote.

Printing

Some offers include it, others bill it, others cap the number of prints — a detail sometimes discovered on the night itself. With us, printing costs $175 CAD more and prints are unlimited for the whole event, in 4×3 inch Polaroid format or 4×6 inch postcard.

The options

This is where suppliers differ most. At Ouisnap, the custom filter designed by our graphic team, carousel mode projecting photos live, the private online gallery available for one year and the automatic video compilation of the best moments are included in every package. Priced in your quote: the AI option, contests, logo mosaic, props and backdrop, TV screen rental, and an on-site host or technician.

What the price does not tell you

Two characteristics weigh heavily on the day and appear on no rate card. The first is autonomy: the booth sets up in 30 seconds on a single power outlet, no technician is required, and its built-in 5G card makes it independent of the venue's network — which matters in a community hall, a park, or a hotel basement. The second is throughput: up to 120 shots per hour, enough to absorb a two-hundred-guest cocktail without a queue forming.

How to read a quote

Four questions are enough to make two offers comparable. How many hours does the package cover, and what does an extra hour cost? Are delivery, setup and pickup included, or must you collect the equipment? Are prints unlimited or capped? Is a security deposit required?

At Ouisnap the answers are, in order: the whole weekend with no hourly surcharge, never included but quoted in advance, unlimited when the option is taken, and no deposit. Our full rate card details every package, and the cities we serve page sets out delivery terms where you are.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a photo booth cost in Quebec?
Quebec suppliers advertise anywhere from $199 to $1,500 CAD, taxes extra, depending on the package and the hours covered (surveyed August 2026). At Ouisnap, expect $450 CAD without printing and with pickup at our Saint-Lambert or Quebec City offices, and $625 CAD either with printing or with delivery, setup and pickup. On the corporate side the standard package also starts at $450 CAD and reaches $800 CAD with printing and delivery. In every case the booth is rented for the whole weekend, and the detailed quote is free within 24h.
Why do photo booth rental prices vary so much?
Because the phrase "photo booth" covers very different services. Four items explain almost the entire gap: the hours covered (a three-hour package and a weekend rental are not comparable), delivery (included or not), printing (included, billed, or capped) and whether an operator stays on site. A low headline price nearly always means either a short window or pickup at your expense.
Is delivery included in the price?
No, never. The base rate covers free pickup at our Saint-Lambert or Quebec City offices. The delivery, setup and pickup package costs $175 CAD within roughly 25 km of either point; beyond that, travel fees apply by distance and are confirmed in your quote. The booth can also ship by courier or mail anywhere in Canada.
How much does printing cost?
Printing adds $175 CAD to the package. Prints are then unlimited for the whole event, in the 4×3 inch Polaroid format we recommend — it fits in a pocket — or as a 4×6 inch postcard on request.
Does a corporate event cost more?
The standard package starts at the same level: $450 CAD. The corporate grid differs on the options, not the entry point. The full package at $800 CAD combines the rental, printing, and delivery with setup and pickup. On top of that, priced in your quote: the AI option, contests, logo mosaic, props and backdrop, TV screen rental, and an on-site host or technician.
Is a security deposit required?
No. No deposit is asked and the quoted rate is complete for the package chosen, taxes extra. You receive a free, detailed quote within 24h before booking, and carousel mode as well as the online gallery are included at no extra charge.
